Logan Township, NJ — Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America, Inc. has announced that Brian Shantz, its current General Manager, Canadian Operations, has also been appointed the company’s new Director, Dealer Network Development and Operations, effective immediately. In the latter post, Mr. Shantz will be responsible for dealer network development for all of MFTA’s North American operations, which encompasses the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and Guam.

Shantz joined Mitsubishi Fuso in 1999 as the Director, Sales for Canada and was solely responsible for all of the company’s dealer sales in Canada. Earlier in 2015, he was promoted to General Manager, Canadian Operations, and he will retain those duties as well as his overall responsibility for directing dealer network development. Prior to joining MFTA, Shantz worked for International Truck Group (Navistar), McCleave Leasing and Volvo Truck Corporation in positions of growing responsibility.

In making the announcement, Jecka Glasman, MFTA’s president and CEO noted, “Over the years, Brian has proven to be a valuable asset to MFTA. We have just finished an evaluation of the dealer operations role and its responsibilities, and have revised the position based on that evaluation. We’re confident that Brian’s career experience, both in his tenure at MFTA and before, makes him the perfect fit for this new position.”
